Abdulrasheed Bawa’s resignation at this time is sacred in order to preserve Nigeria’s name, said Adamu Aminu Musa, head of the Coalition of Arewa Civil Society Organizations, in a statement on Sunday.
“The fourth executive chairman, Mr. Bawa, has been at the center of so many corruption allegations even before his appointment as the chairman,” the statement said. “His appointment as the chairman was believed to be surrounded by so many controversies and mysteries.”
Bawa, with the support of his godfather, the Attorney General, rules like an emperor, intimidating, harassing, and pressuring others into doing his bidding, including banks, other government organizations, and defenseless Nigerians.
The director general of NIMASA, according to Adamu Aminu, was coerced by Bawa to support his family members’ international studies at the Centurion University of Technology and Management in Bhubaneswar, India.
He said that although he himself engaged another member of his family at the EFCC’s Lagos Command, the EFCC chairman coerced and harassed the NCC into hiring his elder brother.
