In his debut season with the Blaugrana, Robert Lewandowski of Barcelona became the first player to score 30 or more goals in all competitions since Ronaldo Nazario on Sunday.

After tallying a brace in his team’s 4-2 victory against Espanyol in the La Liga Catalan derby, Lewandowski attained the milestone.

The international from Poland has now scored 31 goals and recorded seven assists in 42 games for Barcelona this season in all competitions.
As for Ronaldo Nazario, he started the 1996–1997 campaign by moving from PSV Eindhoven to Barcelona.

In only 49 appearances for the team during his first season, the Brazilian scored an astounding 47 goals and collected 12 assists.

Barcelona defeated Espanyol 4-2 to win the La Liga title in the meanwhile at the RCDE Stadium.

With four games remaining, Xavi’s team now leads Real Madrid by 14 points after accruing 85 points from 34 games.
