Muhammadu Buhari, a former president, has expressed sorrow for the deaths of numerous troops who were killed in an ambush and ensuing chopper accident in Niger State. In response to the deaths of seven troops who were involved in an ambush and a subsequent chopper accident in Niger, Buhari has expressed his sorrow.


President Buhari expressed his condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Armed Forces, and the families of the deceased in a statement released yesterday by his media adviser, Malam Garba Shehu.

“I am devastated by the unfortunate ambush that claimed the lives of our courageous army troops, followed by the helicopter mishap.

My condolences go out to the departed families. I’m hoping for a speedy recovery for those who were hurt.

The former president added, “With the soldier discipline in our troops, it is only a matter of time before they overcome.”
