A fresh image of Charles III, the British King, and his two heirs was released to commemorate his coronation.
The photo of Charles with the Prince of Wales and Prince George was shot on the day he was crowned in the royal chamber of Buckingham Palace.
The future King George V and Queen Mary had two 1902 throne chairs constructed for them to use in the coronation of King Edward VII. These chairs were also utilized in the backdrop of King George VI’s 1937 coronation. The King is seated in the middle of one of these chairs.
Last year, Charles and Queen Camilla sat on the Westminster Hall thrones to listen to speeches from both Houses of Parliament.
The King is seen holding the Sovereign’s Sceptre with a Cross and the Sovereign’s Orb while donning the Robe of Estate and the Imperial State Crown.
William and George, who are both grinning in the picture, are positioned on each side of the King.
On Friday, a different image of Charles and Camilla with their pages of honor and ladies in attendance was made public.
The King is shown wearing his Robe of Estate and Imperial State Crown in another photo from the day of the coronation that was also shot in the throne chamber of Buckingham Palace.
The Queen might be seen donning the Robe of Estate and the crown of Queen Mary.
The Queen’s grandsons Freddy Parker Bowles, Gus Lopes, and Louis Lopes, as well as the Queen’s great-nephew Arthur Elliot, may all be seen in the second image smiling.
Annabel Elliot, the sister of Queen Camilla, is seated next to the monarch, while the Marchioness of Landsdowne, who joined the Royal Household in 2022 as a Queen’s companion, is seated close to the King.
On the far left of the image, standing, are the last three Pages of Honor: Ralph Tollemache, Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, and Nicholas Barclay.
Hugh Burnard, who previously captured Charles and Camilla’s wedding photos in 2005, shot the portraits.
