According to Enrique Cerezo, president of Atletico Madrid, Joao Felix might not play for Chelsea the following season.
Cerezon declared that the 23-year-old winger had been released by new Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino.
The striker made 20 appearances for the team and scored four goals while on loan from Chelsea in January.
He told Spanish publication AS, “We heard yesterday that the new Chelsea manager does not [want] Felix.
“We’ve just been aware for a few hours. He’ll return here, and then we’ll see. We have nothing scheduled.

Felix became the fifth-most expensive player in history when Atletico paid Benfica £113 million for the youngster in 2019. He was then 19 years old.
He then went on to score 34 goals in 131 games across all leagues, aiding them in winning the 2020–21 La Liga championship.
