Twitter’s billionaire owner, Elon Musk, has announced the appointment of a new CEO to lead the company’s operations.
Musk announced it in a recent tweet, albeit he withheld the identity of the new administrator.
“Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter,” Musk said in a tweet. She will begin in around six weeks!”
Since the tweet became public, there have been media rumors, with the Wall Street Journal saying that NBCUniversal executive Linda Yaccarino of Comcast (CMCSA.O) was interviewing for the position.
Musk’s departure as the social media platform’s chief technical officer is anticipated to happen within the next several weeks, according to the tweet.
Remember that Musk became Twitter’s CEO after he finished buying the firm for $44 billion in October.
Numerous industry observers claim that since acquiring control of the platform, Musk has been innovative and cost-conscious.
