Ini Edo, a well-known Nollywood actress, has refuted rumors that she had a relationship with Empress Njamah’s former boyfriend, George Wade.
Social media erupted with rumors of a relationship between the two when it was stated that Wade had been detained by Liberian police and that Ini Edo’s video and passport had been found on him.
The actress responded to the accusations on Tuesday during an Instagram live session, denying the relationship rumors and clarifying that Wade had approached her pretending to be a film producer looking to cast her in his film.
She further disclosed that he veered off topic during their talk and began to make romance suggestions, which she politely rejected.
“Simply by turning on my phone, I’m getting inundated with several allegations,” she said. I have no idea why people keep entwining me in the web of deceit.
“Sometime in August, September, or November of last year, someone messaged me with a foreign number. When I questioned how he obtained my number, the person who contacted me stated a colleague had given it to him. He said he wanted to work with me.
