Nasir el-Rufa, Governor of Kaduna State, has challenged his predecessors to come forward and swear with the Holy Quran that they did not corrupt public monies while in government.

The Governor, who talked with the Kaduna State Media Corporation’s Hausa service, stated that most prior governors messed with the government’s funds during their tenure.

El-rufai’s eight-year reign will come to an end next Monday.

He issued the challenge in response to the opposition’s criticism of several of his programs, claiming that he has never stolen government funds.

“I didn’t build a mansion because I don’t need it.” I did not take anyone’s money, and I challenge everyone who has administered this state to come forward and swear with the Qur’an that they did not steal a kobo of Kaduna resources that were not their own.

“I swear to God, I’m going to do that swearing.” So I’m going to challenge them all. “Everyone should come out and tell the people of Kaduna State that he did not steal their money,” he stated.
