The well-known Nigerian singer Simisola Kosoko, often known as Simi, has admitted that she has never experienced breakup pain in a relationship.
This information was revealed by the mother of one during a recent interview with reality personality Tacha on Cool FM in Lagos.
She emphasized that she is an advocate for individuals who are devastated and that her most recent heartache song, “Stranger,” was not inspired by her own personal experience.
I don’t believe I’ve ever experienced heartbreak, Simi stated. I dunno, that song [“Stranger”] just came to me so naturally. Perhaps I’m just a champion for those who have repeatedly eaten breakfast while grieving [laughs].
I am here to help them. Someone has to be, after all. And then I realized what I had been thinking: I value love greatly and consider it frequently. And I thought that there was one viewpoint that I probably hadn’t looked at in that way: Although they haven’t served you breakfast yet, you get the impression that you have changed significantly and are doing things, accepting things, or adjusting to situations that you ordinarily would never do. Then, one day, you catch yourself looking in the mirror and think, “I don’t know that person.”
“In my opinion, that was the viewpoint that would be enjoyable to sing or write about. The same thing is happening to my emotions. And I think that people, especially those who are now experiencing heartbreak, would be able to identify to it.
