Every year, WhatsApp determines which hardware and software are the most out-of-date; those that have the fewest users are the ones that are no longer supported. It’s also likely that some gadgets lack the most recent security patches or the capabilities needed to operate WhatsApp.
WhatsApp warns that it “will update this page regularly to ensure that the latest operating systems we support are listed here” because it “regularly stops supporting outdated operating systems to devote our resources to supporting the latest ones.”
